PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Service Recovery Plan for the Horizon Navigator, NV358S Update #2

Dear Valued Customer:

Please be advised, due to an operational issue with the Horizon Navigator, the vessel did not sail out of Jacksonville. We are currently implementing a plan to re-route freight from the Horizon Navigator, voyage, NV358S onto an additional sailing out of Jacksonville. Horizon Lines will send sailing confirmations with new voyage numbers. After sailing, please ensure your Shipper’s Export Declarations are updated with the appropriate vessel and voyage.

 Jacksonville, FL
o Monday, January 12th, 2009- The Horizon Challenger, voyage CN479S will depart early on Monday evening with freight from the Horizon Navigator, NV358S for a Thursday afternoon arrival in San Juan on January 15th.
o Tuesday, January 13th, 2009- The Horizon Discovery, voyage DI560S will sail on Tuesday evening for an on-time arrival in San Juan on Friday, January 16th. All bookings will be updated to reflect the new vessel voyage number. Please ensure your Shipper’s Export Declarations are updated accordingly.
o Tuesday, January 13th, 2009- The Horizon Trader, voyage TO308N will sail to Elizabeth, NJ for an on-time arrival on Friday, January 16th. All bookings will be updated to reflect the new vessel voyage number. Please ensure your Shipper’s Export Declarations are updated accordingly.
o Friday, January 16th, 2009- The Horizon Navigator, voyage NV359S will sail Friday for an on-time arrival in San Juan on Monday, January 19th. All bookings will be updated to reflect the new vessel voyage number.
o Monday, January 19th, 2009- The Horizon Discovery, voyage DI561N will arrive in Jacksonville from San Juan. Due to the Martin Luther King holiday on Monday, cargo availability will commence on Tuesday morning and continue through the day.
o Tuesday, January 20th, 2009- The Horizon Challenger, voyage CN480N from San Juan will work in its entirety on Tuesday as previously announced due to the Martin Luther King holiday. The Challenger will depart on Tuesday for an on-time arrival in San Juan on Friday, January 23rd.

 San Juan, PR
o Monday, January 12th, 2009¬- The normal Tuesday northbound sailing to Jacksonville will be moved to Monday. Cutoff for the Horizon Lines voyage, S1894N will be on Monday at 5:00 PM. Vessel will arrive in Jacksonville on Thursday, January 15th.
o The Horizon Trader, voyage TO308N will sail to Elizabeth, NJ for an on-time arrival on Friday, January 16th. All bookings will be updated to reflect the new vessel voyage number. Please ensure your Shipper’s Export Declarations are updated accordingly.
o Thursday, January 15th, 2009- Cargo availability for the Horizon Challenger, voyage CN479S will commence in the evening. The San Juan gate will be extended until 8:00 PM for pick-up of loads.
o The Northbound cutoff for the Horizon Challenger, voyage CN480N will be at 6:00 PM on Thursday. The vessel will arrive on Tuesday, in Jacksonville, FL as previously announced due to the Martin Luther King holiday.
o Friday, January 16th, 2009- Cargo availability for the Horizon Discovery, voyage DI560S will commence in the morning and continue through the day.
o The Northbound cargo cutoff for the Horizon Discovery, voyage DI561N/DI561W to Jacksonville, FL and Houston, TX will be at 6:00 PM on Friday. The DI561N will arrive in Jacksonville, FL on Tuesday, January 20th and the DI561W will arrive in Houston, TX on Friday, January 23rd.

 Houston, TX
o Friday, January 23rd, 2009- The Horizon Discovery, voyage DI561W will have delayed arrival into Houston, TX. Cargo availability will commence Friday morning and continue through the day. The Southbound voyage, DI561E will depart Houston, TX for an on-time arrival into San Juan on Wednesday, January 28th.
