PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Elizabeth Gate Labor Action – Update #4
Dear Valued Customer:
Picketing outside our Elizabeth gate today has completely ceased. We have separately received information that the labor action in Elizabeth has been called off.
This labor action was not directed at Horizon Lines, and we expect no further effects on our terminal or vessel operations as a result of this matter.
Our Elizabeth Terminal will open on-schedule tomorrow at 6:00AM for dispatch and receiving.
Horizon Lines customers are encouraged to use the expedited lanes designated for refrigerated shipments and Puerto Rico shipments when dropping off loads or picking up empty containers Thursday and Friday to ensure quickest trucker turn time at the terminal.
Horizon Lines will make all reasonable efforts to minimize any negative impact this action may have had on our customers’ operations.
