PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Subtropical Storm Beryl – Update #2
Dear Valued Customer:
Subtropical Storm Beryl is expected to make landfall tonight or early Monday.
Currently, Subtropical Storm Beryl is approximately 165 miles East of Jacksonville, FL moving West-Southwest at 10 MPH. Maximum sustained winds are 50 MPH.
The Port of Jacksonville has upgraded their status to Condition Yankee, which means the port is closed to inbound traffic unless permission is granted by the Captain of the Port. Based on the storm’s projected path, the Captain of the Port anticipates changing the readiness condition to Zulu at noon today. Condition Zulu means the port will be closed for vessel movements.
At this time, Horizon does not anticipate any disruptions to our vessel schedules. We will update our customer base with any information that could affect our operations as a result of this storm.
If you have any questions, please contact your Horizon Lines Sales Representative
