On October 27, 2008 Horizon Lines of Alaska announced a fuel surcharge reduction from 26.5% to 23.0% effective November 9, 2008. Since then fuel costs have dropped further. Horizon Lines has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board to reduce our fuel surcharge further to 19.0% effective November 9, 2008.
We will continue to monitor fuel prices and adjust the fuel surcharge based on cost trends.
