Dear Valued Customer:
Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board to reduce the fuel surcharge as specified in Rule 339 of our Alaska tariff from 27.5% to 26.5%. The effective date for this reduction is October 19, 2008.
We will continue to monitor fuel prices and adjust the fuel surcharge based on cost trends.
