GUAM / CNMI SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
*** Revised *** Guam Crane Surcharge

Dear Valued Guam / CNMI Customer:

Horizon Lines has delayed the filing of the Guam Crane Surcharge, Rule 970, in tariffs HRZL- 353, 344 and 961. These tariffs govern shipments moving into and out of Guam. This filing will now become effective on Sunday, April 12th, 2009.

This surcharge is to partially offset the costs incurred in acquiring, refurbishing and transporting the three new cranes for use by the Port of Guam.

The Guam Crane Surcharge will be assessed on cargo moving over the Port of Guam, and applies to both inbound and outbound cargo at the applicable following rate:

$125 for cargo moving on a Per Container basis
$5 per revenue ton for cargo moving on a Weight, Measure, or, Weight and Measure basis
$40 per Vehicle
